![]() It doesn’t have to be super delicate in most case (depending on the base image and overlays) so an approximate shape is enough. If you only want to put the overlay onto a certain area, use the lasso tool (i mostly use magnetic lasso tool) to select the area wanted: Press V (move tool) and move the overlay to where you want it on the picture. Select the new group on the top, and change the blending mode from ‘pass through’ to ‘screen’: ![]() the past method should be ‘over selection’ and remember to check ‘link added layers’: Select all the frames in the base image, then paste frames. Select all the frames (clicking the first frame, then shift + the last frame), then copy frames: Go to the overlay gif again, select all the layers by clicking the first layer then shift + the last layer, and group them together by pressing the ‘create a new group’ icon: There’re 38 frames in this overlay i’m using, so i go back to the base picture and add 37 more new frames by clicking the ‘duplicated selected frames’ icon: Open up an overlay gif on photoshop, scroll to the right on the frame animation panel and see how many frames there are in the gif: i’ll be demonstrating the frame animation method first: these are all optional but i strongly recommend it because who doesn’t want to make their graphics pretty? :D overlay gifs: these are the ones i’ll be usingįirst, prepare the base picture you’re using - download some psd’s from resource sites or colour it yourself ( this is a colouring tutorial that i made), crop it, sharpen it. adobe photoshop: i use the version cc 2017/2018 this is easy if you know basic photoshop & how to make gifs already! it will cover both the frame animation method and timeline method, so you can see which method you prefer. ![]() In this tutorial you will learn how i put those sparkly glittery moving effect on pictures like i did for these edits: x x x. ![]()
